China — What Next? An analysis using Maharishi Jaimini’s techniques

The short hand method to understand what the problem area will be during a particular sign’s period in the Jaimini system is to see in which house the GK (Gnati Karaka) is sitting in that particular Dasha. In the Jaimini system of astrology, the GK is the worst planet that is responsible for delivering malefic results. Wherever the GK sits, that particular area (Bhava/House) will be the area where most of the problems will be experienced.
For example: If the GK is sitting in the 2nd house, then the native will face problems relating to accumulation of wealth as 2nd house is the Dhana Bhava or the area concerned with wealth.
Given below is the Natal chart of China based on the day of formation.
Currently China is running the Aquarius Dasha (Oct 2017 — Oct 2023). If we make Aquarius as the ascending sign, then the GK Rahu occupies the 2nd house of wealth and neighbours (as per Kalidasa in Uttara Kalamrita). We can see that China has been using its wealth to gain control in its neighbourhood, the most recent example being Afghanistan. However, since this attempt is related to Rahu who is the GK, it will ultimately end up proving erroneous and harmful for China. It also shows that China should experiencing some financial problems and is not as financially well off as it appears. It could have bitten more than it can chew. It is possible that its venture in Afghanistan could prove to be very costly.
The next Dasha that China will be running is the Capricorn Dasha (Oct 2023-Oct 2030). Here if we make Capricorn or the ruling dasha sign as the ascendant, the GK Rahu goes into the 3rd house of valour, effort power and strengh. During this period, there is a high chance that China could engage in war mongering (which is a negative shade of the traits mentioned above) and towards the end of the Dasha, It could even get involved in full scale Armed conflict. Again a negative outcome can be expected as the most malefic planet is involved here. An interesting thing is that during the same period India is also running through a Dasha where the GK is placed in the 3rd house indicating that India will also get into a war. In India’s chart the GK is placed in the 2nd house in the natal chart which clearly shows that the war will be with neighbouring countries.
The subsequent Dasha that China will be running is the Sagittarius Dasha (2030–2042). This period could deal a physical blow and alter the map of China as we know it. This is because, if we make Sagittarius as the lagna, the GK Rahu goes into the 4th house of Land and Peace. Because of the negative flavour imparted by the GK, we can interpret the result of this Dasha as “Loss of Land”. Also, the GK aspects the ascendant by Rashi Drishti. The ascendant in normal horoscopy is the body of an individual and the same can be considered in mundane astrology as the territorial borders of a country. Since the lagna is also impacted, this Dasha could be a double whammy for China and could deliver a body blow from which China could possibly not recover for a long time.
